Hannah & Kellen’s Laguna Beach Engagement Session
Hannah and Kellen's Laguna Beach engagement session was a beautiful evening in November, that I won't ever forget! The fog and overcast sky created a romantic atmosphere for the couple, who had been together since they first met at church camp in junior high!
The two reconnected when they were both in college and went on their first date. Now, they are engaged and ready to start their lives together! I actually grew up with Hannah and was best friends with her sister so it was so much fun being their photographer and capturing such a momentous day for them!
Laguna Beach Engagement Location
Laguna Beach is definitely one of my favorite beaches to photograph couples so I was excited when Hannah and Kellen decided on having their engagement session here!
Whether you decide to be here for your engagement or wedding you’ll have stunning views of the Pacific Ocean and be surrounded by lush greenery! The beach is also home to some of the most beautiful sunsets in California. Making it the perfect backdrop for any romantic occasion!
Not only that but, the beach itself is a perfect spot for engagement photos and wedding ceremonies. The sand is soft and inviting, and the waves provide a romantic soundtrack for your special day. You can also find plenty of spots along the shoreline to take stunning photos with your partner. Whether you're looking for a classic beach shot or something more unique, Laguna Beach has it all!
The area also offers plenty of other options for engagement sessions and weddings. There are several parks in the area that offer lush green spaces and stunning views of the ocean. These parks are perfect for outdoor ceremonies or receptions, as well as intimate photo shoots with your partner!

Beach Portraits
Hannah and Kellen's engagement session was full of laughter and love! They enjoyed walking along the shoreline, taking in the sights and sounds of the ocean waves crashing against the sand. They also took some time to explore the nearby cove and tide pools, which provided a unique opportunity to capture some truly special and candid moments between them. If you know me you know I love to take a more candid and documentary-style approach.
Photography to me is all about letting things unfold naturally and capturing you in all of your perfect imperfections. I'm a big believer that you should be in love with the experience in front of my camera just as much as you love your gallery at the end of it all! I’m here to not only be your third wheel but to capture and find beauty in the mundane, normal, small moments that others seem to miss! I’m so happy I got to capture these moments for Hannah and Kellen!
To end Helle and Kellen’s Laguna Beach engagement we captured some golden hour shots of them on the cliffside! I had so much fun capturing Hellen and Kellen’s Laguna beach engagement session while they ran around on the beach and on the cliffside sharing such intimate and romantic moments together. It was as if I wasn’t even there! It was such a beautiful day that will be remembered forever!
Final Thoughts
I still can’t get over the stunning views of the ocean, combined with the romantic atmosphere created by the foggy sky! It made it an unforgettable evening for all of us!
